Mask On Entry/Display identifies whether to display the unformatted GL account number or the formatted version (using the edit mask) when a user-defined GL account structure is used. This will affect all reports and screens, field output and input. The formatting characters must be entered when this option is set to Yes. Maximum Elapsed Hours identifies the maximum allowable elapsed hours for shift time entry. The elapsed time check can be set to issue a warning or error message when the elapsed time exceeds this value. ETK BP.

Maximum Extra Units is the maximum number of units a customer is allowed if the maximum is blank on the customer master. This should be filled in if the Credit Check Type is either B or F.

The credit checking has a soft/hard tolerance. If customers are allowed to have 2 trailers over their limit before they are blocked, the users get a warning at 1 and 2 trailers over, and are then blocked if they get to 3 over.

The ability to not allow extra trailers at the customer level is controlled on the customer master.
Credit Check BP

Maximum Vendor Invoice Size is the maximum number of characters allowed for manual entry of the vendor invoice number. The field will accept numbers 10-15 if Enrich Financials is installed, 10-22 otherwise. If left blank, it defaults to 15 if Enrich Financials is installed, 22 otherwise. Purchasing BP.

Memo is the default code to be used for memo work orders when the transaction does not have a charge code defined. You can click on the Prompt button to select the charge code from a list. Revenue/Expense Summary BP.

Memo Work Order Creates Nul Rev/Exp controls creation of accounting transaction records for memo work orders. This enables reporting of this activity by the Customer Activity Report and viewing from the Revenue/Expense screens.

The memo work order was originally intended for entering historical cost information, and no invoice or revenue information was produced. Clients are now using the memo work order to enter historical invoice information for their customers. This is work performed and billed by a totally separate third party. The client is entering it as a service to the customer, enabling reporting of expenses by unit from the customer's perspective.

When this business parameter is set to Yes, the memo work order close will create transactions in the Equipment Accounting Transaction file that will be summarized into the Revenue/Expense Summary file. The "included unit P/L" flag will be set to No so these records will not affect accounting interfaces. One entry is transaction type MR (maintenance revenue) and source document type WO; the offsetting entry is transaction type EU (unit expense) and source document type WO.

A memo charge code must also be entered before the accounting transaction will be created. The memo charge code should be set up in the charge code table with a type of Memo WO.
Revenue/Expense Summary BP.

Merge-Update Open Transactions identifies whether or not items should be merged in the merge/purge of inventory items process even if they are on open transactions. Materials BP.

Meter Reading Mandatory identifies whether or not meter readings must be entered with fuel tickets. Options include: always optional, always mandatory, or dependant on the designation for the unit when work orders are entered.

When set to mandatory, Enrich will skip any meters that are marked as "do not read" for work orders and Lease Rental. You will not be prevented from proceeding based on that meter not having a reading.

When set to Based on work order setup, the readings will be mandatory depending on the meter setting for "read on WO". A meter will be mandatory on a fuel ticket only if it is marked as mandatory for the unit on a work order.
Fuel Tax/Billing BP.

Metric ID For LR Reading Tolerances is the default measurement type for readings. You can click on the Prompt button to select the metric from a list. Lease Rental BP.

For example, due to rounding, a GL entry may be $25.99, but the inventory sub-ledger may be $26.00. If this parameter is left as zero, a $.01 entry will be made. If this parameter is greater than $.01, no entry will be generated. No value is required for this parameter. Finance and Admin BP.

Min Hrs Between Shifts is the minimum number of hours between standard shifts. It is used by the time entry function to decide whether to create a new shift header record or start a new shift when the employee clocks on. ETK BP.

Minimum Account Open Days is the minimum number of  days the customer must be active in order to have extra units allowed. Extra trailers are only allowed for customers that have been active for this number of days. If the customer has been active for less than this number of days, no extra units will be allowed. The credit department would need to increase the Fleet Count Limit to allow extra units. This should be filled in if the Credit Check Type is either B or F. Credit Check BP

Minimum Driver Age is the minimum age a driver can be to rent a vehicle. It defaults to 21 but can be changed. Lease Rental BP.

Misc Charge Code Default may be defined for situations where the Miscellaneous Charge Code Option does not yield a miscellaneous charge code. The value must be defined in the Financials reference file category 0047, Miscellaneous Charge Codes, prior to using it here. It is not promptable. Assist Accounting Options BP.

Misc Charge Code Option - accounts receivable transactions from Enrich are written into the Financials invoice detail record for miscellaneous charges. Within Financials, when an invoice is displayed (Order Entry Inquiry), the column for item number shows the miscellaneous charge code passed from Enrich. The associated GL accounts are only displayed using F15=GL Transaction. (Note that "miscellaneous" is a somewhat confusing term. Misc Parts Flow Thru To Tender is only used for Shop Work Desk. Miscellaneous parts (i.e. not on the item master) can be put onto a Shop Work Desk work order. If this parameter is set to Yes, it means the work order can be tendered without having to replace those miscellaneous parts with real items. Setting it to No means they have to be replaced. Materials BP.

You can click on the Prompt button to select the customer class from a list. Customer and Invoice BP.

Miscellaneous Part identifies a miscellaneous part. A miscellaneous part has to be defined as a non-stock item in the item master. When the miscellaneous part is added on a work order, the user is prompted for a description and cost and, optionally, for a vendor part number, selling price, and PO. The inventory, WIP, and cost of goods entries are not generated for miscellaneous parts since it is expected that these parts have already been expensed. This would be an expense only to the unit/customer. You can click on the Prompt button to select the part from a list. Materials BP.
