Effective Dateis the date the effective-date type of warranty contract goes into effect. An effective date can be supplied for warranties defined as having a starting point of in-service date or purchase date, but this will serve as information only in those cases.
Starting Pointidentifies
when the warranty goes into effect on a covered item or unit.
You can click on the Prompt 
button to
select the starting point from a list. Possible values are:
- Effective Date - a specific date
is given at which the warranty becomes effective, regardless of
unit in-service dates or part install/purchase dates. This is
rarely used; it's not unit specific, it's for the warranty itself.
- In Service Date - the starting
point for the warranty will be based on the in-service date of
the unit; for parts, the starting point will be the day the part
is fully issued on the work order.
- Purchase Date - the starting date
will be the purchase date of the unit; for parts, it will be the
receipt date of the part.
Typeidentifies
the kind of warranty. This is informational only, unless the Parts
type is selected; it works differently from the others. You can
click on the Prompt button to select
the warranty type from a list.
Warranty Codeis a unique code used to identify this specific warranty contract. It will appear on the work order.

Warranty change screen appears.Duration Statusidentifies how the warranty period is measured -- elapsed days, elapsed months, or using a metric. The expiry date of the warranty is calculated by adding the duration to the start date. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the duration from a list.
End Date- when units are being added to the system, Enrich will check to see if there are start or end dates defined for the warranty. If found, the warranty will only be attached to the unit if the in-service date falls within this date range. The start and end dates are independent of each other; they don't both have to exist. If the end date is left blank, then only the start date will be validated.
Expiration Valueis a number identifying when the warranty coverage expires on equipment or parts. If the warranty coverage is 24 months, the expiration value is 24. If the warranty coverage is 30,000 miles, the expiration value is 30,000. The calculation of warranty expiry dates allows for a 5-digit value, allowing for about 274 years if expressed in days and about 8333 years if expressed in months.
Expiration Value Policyis an unspoken grace period provided by the vendor, e.g. 5 days after policy expiration you might still get coverage. For 30 extra days on a 365 day policy, you should type in 395 for this field.
Metric Typeidentifies how a reading is taken to obtain the measurement. It is only required for metric type durations. If the warranty coverage is 30,000 miles, that is based on the vehicle's odometer reading; therefore, the metric type is odometer. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the metric type from a list.
