Department cost codes table  

You can assign hourly labor rates for each shop and cost code that has been defined, based on effective date.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Maintenance | Labor Cost Codes | Department Cost Basis.
    • The Department Cost Basis change screen appears.
  2. Click Add .
    • The Department Cost Basis add screen appears.
  3. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Facility is the facility where the cost code applies. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the facility from a list.

    Dept is the shop or department where the cost code applies. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the department from a list.

    Cost Code is the cost code identifying who the work is being performed for. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the cost code from a list.  Note that this code can be modified at the individual work order line level.

    Effective Date is the date this rate goes into effect for the specified cost code at the specified department.

    Hourly Rate is the amount to be charged for each hour of labor for the specified cost code at the selected department, to 4 decimal places.

  4. Click Enter to save the rates.
  5. Click Exit to return to the menu.
