This interface allows you to enter metric readings into Enrich to be used in EMMS, Lease Rental, or Fuel Tax. To start, you must set up the interface definition. The next step is to upload the CSV or other file using the normal data transfer functions into the iSeries.
*Warning: When creating the .fdf file by transferring the file from Enrich, be sure there is at least 1 record in the file. Also be sure to leave the file type as ASCII. This is different from the normal process of changing the file to .csv.
The .csv file needs to be formatted according to the Reading Upload.xls, which is available from the help desk. Refer to the actual spreadsheet for additional details.
It is important that the date is in your correct date format: YYMMDD, MMDDYY, or DDMMYY.
Once the Data Transfer is complete, be sure to close the data transfer program to be certain there isn’t a lock on the FFLNCPP FILE.
Next, you can request the reading interface/upload. This process will create an Interface Batch – File FBBECPP K-Reading IF Transactions.
You can then work with interface batches to fix errors and post the readings.
