Fixing metric readings
View the audit log report produced by the submitted job from Step 2. If there are errors, the metric readings must be fixed manually.
Possible errors that will appear on the report are:
-
LTD has become negative. LTD will not be updated.
-
The starting LTD reading may not be large enough; you may have to manually adjust the LTD readings entered through Enrich.
-
The metric reading which has this error may be too large. This could be caused by the reading being in kilometers rather than miles, or by a misplaced decimal.
-
A previous metric reading may have been too large.
-
The physical meter may have been changed. You may need to run the fix in stages and manually adjust the LTD.
-
No LTD reading or Metric Measurement value found after start date. Fix will not be attempted.
-
The Begin Date entered on the prompt screen may not be correct. You may have to choose a more recent date so the fix program can find the first metric measurement and LTD that was created for the unit by the Enrich system.
-
There may not be a metric measurement and LTD reading for the unit. Enter one through the Enrich system.
Warnings may or may not require action. Possible warnings are:
-
Tolerance exceeded.
-
The metric measurement value has changed by an amount that is larger than the amount you entered on the prompt screen. The metric reading that his this error may be too large or too small. This could be caused by the reading being in kilometers rather than miles, or by a misplaced decimal.
-
The previous metric reading may have been too large or too small.
-
Measurement value has increased from prior.
-
Generally, meter readings get larger with time. Since we are processing records in descending time, the metric readings should get smaller. The metric reading that has this error may be too large. This could be caused by the reading being in kilometers rather than miles, or by a misplaced decimal.
-
The previous metric reading may have been too small.
-
The physical meter may have been changed. You may need to run the fix in stages and manually adjust the LTD.
