Shop PI definition  

This option allows you to turn the PI (parts interface) definition on or off for a material cost type line. When there are multiple price book lines for the Material cost type and the PI definition is being used, it would have to be set up on each of those price book lines. Note that without the business parameter for PI Pricing being set to No, any setup of PI definitions will be disregarded.

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Location | Facility | Shops.
   • The Display Shops screen appears.
2. Click Change .
   • The Edit Shops change screen appears.
3. Right-click on the shop and select Change Price Book.
   • The Edit Shop Price Books change screen appears.
4. Right-click on the price book's effective date and select Base Rate.
   • The Edit Price Book Base Rates change screen appears.
5. Right-click on the cost type and select PI Defn.
   • The Shop PI Definition change screen appears.
6. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

   Use PI Pricing flags whether or not parts interface pricing will be used.

   Discount Percent is a discount percent to apply to the part price when it comes from PI pricing. It is optional.

   Discount Amount is a flat-rate discount amount to apply to the part price when it comes from PI pricing. It is optional.

7. Click Enter to save the definition.
8. To select the PI source and column that should be used for the base price:
   1. Click PI Source Xref .
      • The Shop PI Source Cross Reference change screen appears.
   2. Click Add .
      • The Shop PI Source Cross Reference add screen appears.
   3. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

      PI Source is the specific source file to use to obtain pricing. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the source from a list.

      Column is the number of the specific column in the source file to use to obtain pricing.

   4. Click Enter to save the source.
   5. Click Exit to return to the Shop PI Definition change screen.
9. Click Exit to return to the Edit Price Book Base Rates change screen.
