Fluids table  

This table lists all fluids that might be required by equipment units: oil, gas, diesel, brake fluid, antifreeze, windshield washer fluid, etc. The fluids must exist in the item master before they can be added here.

Most fluids must be maintained at specific levels for proper equipment operation; those levels are defined with the equipment group.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Equipment | Fluids.
    • The Display Fluid Table screen appears.
  2. Click Change .
    • The Edit Fluid Table change screen appears.
  3. Click Add .
    • The Edit Fluid Table add screen appears.
  4. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Code is a 6-character code identifying a fluid used in equipment units, e.g. ANTIF for antifreeze, FUELD1 for diesel fuel number 1.

    Description is a brief description of the fluid, e.g. engine oil SW30 Quaker.

    Item Number is the code used to identify the fluid in the item master. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the item number from a list.

    System is the VMRS system that the fluid is for. It is optional. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the system from a list.

    Assy is the VMRS assembly that the fluid is for. It is optional. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the assembly from a list.

    Part is the VMRS part that the fluid is for. It is optional. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the part from a list.

    Task is the VMRS task for which the fluid would be used. It is optional. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the task from a list.

  5. Click Enter to save the fluids.
  6. Click Exit twice to return to the menu.
