Customer class PI definition  

This table allows you to turn the parts interface (PI) definition on or off for a material cost type line in a customer class price book. When there are multiple price book lines for the material cost type and the PI definition is being used, it would have to be set up on each of those price book lines.

Note that PI definitions may be disregarded depending on the business parameter setting.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Customer | Customer Classes.
    • The Edit Customer Classes change screen appears.
  2. Right-click on the customer class and select Change Price Book.
    • The Edit Customer Class Price Book change screen appears.
  3. Right-click on the effective date of the price book and select Base Rate.
    • The Edit Customer Class Base Rate change screen appears.
  4. Right-click on the material cost type line and select PI Defn.
    • The Customer Class PI Definition change screen appears.
  5. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Use PI Pricing identifies whether or not to use parts interface pricing.

    Discount Percent is a discount percent to be applied to the part price when it comes from PI pricing. It is optional.

    Discount Amount is a discount amount to be applied to the part price when it comes from PI pricing. It is optional.

  6. Click Enter to save any changes.
  7. To select the PI source and column that should be used for the base price:
    1. Click PI Source Xref .
      • The Cust Class PI Source Cross Reference change screen appears.
    2. Click Add .
      • The Cust Class PI Source Cross Reference add screen appears.
    3. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

      PI Source is the specific source file to use to obtain part pricing. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the file from a list.

      Column is the specific column in the source file to be used to obtain pricing.

    4. Click Enter to save the source file information.
    5. Click Exit twice to return to the Edit Customer Class Base Rate change screen.
