Equipment PI definition  

This option allows you to turn the PI (parts interface) definition on or off for a material cost type line on an equipment unit price book.

When there are multiple price book lines for the Material cost type and the PI definition is being used, it would have to be set up on each of those price book lines. Note that without the business parameter for PI Pricing set to No, any setup of PI definitions will be disregarded.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, click on the Equipment button.
    • The Display Equipment screen appears.
  2. Right-click on the equipment unit and select Change.
    • The Edit Equipment change screen appears.
  3. Click PriceBk .
    • The Customer/Equipment Price Book display screen appears.
  4. Click Change .
    • The Customer/Equipment Price Book change screen appears.
  5. Right-click on the effective date and select Change.
    • The Customer/Equipment Base Rate change screen appears.
  6. Right-click on the material cost type and select PI Defn.
    • The Cust/Equip PI Definition change screen appears.
  7. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Use PI Pricing identifies whether or not PI (parts interface) pricing will be used.

    Discount Percent is a discount percent to be applied to the part price when it comes from PI pricing. It is optional.

    Discount Amount is a discount amount to be applied to the part price when it comes from PI pricing. It is optional.

  8. Click Enter to save the definition.
  9. To select the PI source and column that should be used for the base price, click PI Source Xref .
    • The Cust/Equip PI Cross Reference change screen appears.
  10. Click Add .
    • The Cust/Equip PI Cross References add screen appears.
  11. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    PI Source is the specific source file to be used to obtain pricing. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to display a selection list.

    Column is the specific column in the source file to be used to obtain pricing.

  12. Click Enter .
    • The source is added.
  13. Click Exit twice to return to the Customer/Equipment Base Rate change screen.
