Fix item utilization history

This function will create and adjust life-to-date (LTD) metric reading values.

Only those records for the specified item/serial number and metric type will be processed, starting at the specified date and processing back in time to the first metric reading. If no limiting values are entered, all records will be selected and processed. An audit trail of the modifications will be printed.

This fix routine may be run in preview mode, which will produce the audit trail report without actually performing the fixes, or in update mode, which will perform the updates and print an audit trail report. You may specify an optional tolerance amount; a warning will appear in the audit trail if the metric measurement changes by more than this amount. The audit trail counts the numbers of warnings and errors.

You should run this program if you have encountered problems with LTD metric readings in data that was converted to Enrich from your previous system. One known symptom of a problem is incorrect metric accumulator values on the Metric Performance reports; another is missing LTD values when viewing unit metric readings.

You should use the Enrich go-live date as the Begin Date. You should not enter the current date, because this will process more records than necessary and create extra work for you in reviewing the updates. It could also cause problems if readings have changed due to a physical meter change.

No limitations are placed on the metric type that you may enter. However,to reduce processing time and the size of the audit reports which must be checked, you should give some thought to the type of metric readings you need to fix and run the program for only those types, e.g. ODOM, HUB, and other metrics that will have LTDs.

It is also helpful to work with a small group of units or an individual unit at a time. ALWAYS run the program in preview mode first. If there are errors, you may need to manually fix the metric readings for a unit and rerun the fix preview. DO NOT run the fix in update mode until all errors have been removed, and make sure you use the same selection criteria as before. You can run the program if warnings exist.

Be sure to check the audit report from the update and verify that no errors were encountered.
