Fix duplicate metric readings
This routine will delete duplicate metric records which have no corresponding item utilization record. Only those records for the specified item and metric type will be checked for duplicates, starting at the specified date and processing back in time to the metric reading. If no limiting values are entered, all records will be selected and processed. An audit trail of the deleted records is produced.
You should perform this fix routine if you have encountered problems with duplicate metric readings in data that was converted to Enrich from your previous system. You should use the Enrich go live date as the Begin Date.
No limitations are placed on the metric type that you may enter; however, to reduce processing time, you should give some thought to the type of metric readings you need to fix, and run the program for only those types.
Be aware that, when viewing metric readings after this program has been run,it may appear as if there are still duplicates. This will occur when two or more readings have the same value but reference different items, e.g. work orders and defects.
- At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Utilities | Fix Duplicate Metric Readings.
- The Fix Measurement Duplicates enter screen appears.
- Fill in the fieldsfields as required.
Item Number is a specific item to be fixed. Leave blank for all. You can click on the Prompt
button to select the item from a list.Item Serial is the specific serial number to be corrected, if applicable. You can click on the Prompt
button to select the item serial number from a list.Metric Type is the type of measurement to be adjusted. You can click on the Prompt
button to select the metric type from a list.Begin Date is the date that Enrich went live.
- Click Enter

- The Cancel prompt appears.
- Click Enter .
- The job will be submitted.
- Wait until the submitted job(s) have completed successfully before continuing with the next step in the fix process.
