Customer PI definitions  

This option allows you to turn the PI definition on or off for a material cost type line. When there are multiple price book lines for the Material cost type and the PI definition is being used, it would have to be set up on each of those price book lines. Note that without the business parameter for PI Pricing set to No, any setup of PI definitions will be disregarded.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, click the Customer button.
    • The Work With Customers display screen appears.
  2. Right-click on the customer and select Edit Customer.
    • The Edit Customer change screen appears.
  3. Click Price Book .
    • The Edit Customer Price Book change screen appears.
  4. Right-click on the effective date of the price book and select Change.
    • The Edit Customer Base Rate change screen appears.
  5. Right-click on the material cost type and select PI Defn.
    • The Customer PI Definition change screen appears.
  6. To select the PI source and column that should be used for the base price, click PI Source Xref .
    • The Customer PI Source Cross Reference change screen appears.
  7. Click Add .
    • The Customer PI Source Cross Reference add screen appears.
  8. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    PI Source is the specific source file to be used to obtain pricing. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the source from a list.

    Column is the specific column in the source file to be used to obtain pricing.

  9. Click Enter to save the source.
  10. Click Exit to return to the Customer PI Definition change screen.
  11. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Use PI Pricing identifies whether or not PI pricing will be used.

    Discount Percent is a discount percent to be applied to the part price when it comes from PI pricing. It is optional.

    Discount Amount is a discount amount to be applied to the part price when it comes from PI pricing. It is optional.

  12. Click Enter to save the definition.
  13. Click Exit  to return to the Edit Customer Base Rate change screen.
