Create a release for a suggested item on a standing PO

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Material | Suggested Orders | Display Suggested Orders. The Suggested Orders enter screen appears.
2. Change any field values as required.

   Warehouseis the warehouse to work with. A value is required. You can click on the Prompt button to select the warehouse from a list.

   Companyis a specific company to work with. Leave blank for all. You can click on the Prompt button to select the company from a list.

   Vendoris a specific vendor to work with. Leave blank for all. You can click on the Prompt button to select the vendor from a list.

3. Click Enter . The Suggested Orders display screen appears.
4. Right-click on the item and select Add to Order. The item will be added to the order with the current date and the Add Suggested Order display screen appears.
5. Change any field values as required.

   Order Quantityis the number of units of the item to place on the release authorization. It will default to the suggested quantity but can be changed.

   Unit Costis the price, to 2 decimal places, of a single unit of the item from the primary vendor. The system calculates this based on prior purchasing history or takes it from an existing contract, but it can be changed.

   Warehouse Codeis the warehouse to which the item will ship. It can be changed.

   Release Numberis the sequential number identifying a particular release authorization for the standing order. It can be left blank to create a new release authorization.

6. Right-click on the standing order and select Create Release. The Release Authorization Entry change screen appears.
7. You can now continue with the release authorization.
