Add equipment group

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Equipment | Equipment Groups. The Display Equipment Group screen appears.
2. Click Add . The Addition of Equipment Group add screen appears.
3. Type in an Equipment Group ID code for the new group, e.g. FTLJ18 for Freightliner Classic, KENV98 for Kenworth 1998.
4. Click Enter . The Maintenance Equipment Group add screen appears.
5. Fill in the fields as required.

   Equipment Group Nameis a brief description of the equipment group, e.g. Kenworth 1998, Mack tractors.

   Equipment Typeidentifies the generic type of equipment, e.g. tractor, truck. You can click on the Prompt button to select the equipment type from a list.

   Group Statusidentifies whether the group is currently active or inactive.

   Manufacturer Codeidentifies the company that makes the equipment units in the group, e.g. FRD for Ford. You can click on the Prompt button to select the manufacturer from a list.

   Model Codeidentifies the equipment unit model. You can click on the Prompt button to select the model from a list.

   Yearis the 4-digit year the units in the group were manufactured, e.g. 2014.

6. Click Enter to save the group. You return to the Display Equipment Group screen.
7. You should set up classifications, component locations, features, fluids, PM templates, standard parts, warranty coverage, and standard repair times for the new group before adding units to it.
