Insurance options

Insurance options must be set up when a Max Values section is included on a policy.

1. At the Asset Management main menu, select Insurance | Insurance Policies. The Insurance Policies display screen appears.
2. Right-click on the policy and select Change. The Edit Insurance Policy Details display screen appears.
3. Click Insurance Options . The Edit Insurance Options change screen appears.
4. Fill in the fields as required.

   Subsidentifies whether or not the insurance policy's max value will apply to substitutions. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the flag from a list. If Yes, you must select how you will allow it:
   a. Rent - they can rent a substitute.
   b. Rent/Fax - they can rent a substitute but a faxed confirmation notice needs to go to the insurance agent.
   c. Rent/Fax/Confirm - they can rent the substitute but a fax has to go to the insurance agent and you need to have confirmation that they have received it.
   d. Not Permitted.

   Replidentifies whether or not the insurance policy's max value will apply to replacements. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the flag from a list. If Yes, you must select how you will allow it:
   a. Rent - they can rent a replacement.
   b. Rent/Fax - they can rent a replacement but a faxed confirmation notice needs to go to the insurance agent.
   c. Rent/Fax/Confirm - they can rent the replacement but a fax has to go to the insurance agent and you need to have confirmation that they have received it.
   d. Not Permitted.

   Strgidentifies whether or not the insurance policy's max value will apply to storage units. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the flag from a list. If Yes, you must select how you will allow it:
   a. Rent - they can rent a storage unit.
   b. Rent/Fax - they can rent a storage unit but a faxed confirmation notice needs to go to the insurance agent.
   c. Rent/Fax/Confirm - they can rent the storage unit but a fax has to go to the insurance agent and you need to have confirmation that they have received it.
   d. Not Permitted.

   Allidentifies whether or not the insurance policy's max value will apply to substitutes, replacements, storage units, as well as rental units. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the flag from a list. If Yes, you must select how you will allow it:
   a. Rent - they can rent a substitute, replacement, storage unit, and/or rental unit.
   b. Rent/Fax - they can rent a substitute replacement, storage unit, and/or rental unit but a fax confirmation notice needs to go to the insurance agent.
   c. Rent/Fax/Confirm - they can rent a substitute, replacement, storage unit, and/or rental unit but a fax has to go to the insurance agent and you need to have confirmation that they have received it.
   d. Not Permitted.

   Company Insuredidentifies whether or not the company insurance will cover the max value if the customer's insurance does not provide adequate coverage. When set to Yes, the Excess Amount field opens up.
   
   Excess Amount: is only used if Company Insured = Yes. It is the deductible that is on your insurance policy that the customer would have to pay in case of an accident.

5. Click Enter to save the options.
