Pre-select equipment for disposal

This function allows you to enter in data that is used to determine if a piece of equipment should go to the pre-selected equipment list for review. You can save and retrieve the data requests in the same manner as saving and retrieving reports.

1. At the Asset Management main menu, select Disposal | Pre-select Equipment. The Pre-select Equipment enter screen appears.
2. Fill in the fields as required.

   Poolis the equipment pool to pre-select the units from. You can enter up to 5 pools; at least 1 is required. You can click on the Prompt button to select the pools from a list.

   Days to Contract Expirationidentifies the maximum number of days remaining on a contract (lease) or on a depreciation schedule (rental) for a unit to be included in the pending disposal list. The maximum number you can enter is 3652; anything higher will result in no records selected.
        Units in a lease pool or maintenance contract pool will be included if their Schedule A expiry date falls within a window of this number of days from the current date or if their Schedule A expiry date is in the past; they will not be selected if they have never been on a contract.
        Units in a rental pool will be included if the date on the last postable depreciation record falls within a window of this number of days from the current date or if the date on the last postable depreciation record is in the past; they will not be selected if they do not have a postable depreciation schedule.
        If a unit has guaranteed buy back data, this field will not work.

   Guaranteed Buy Back Vehicle Within- the first field holds a numeric value that will be compared to the metric values entered for a guaranteed buy back vehicle. The second field holds the unit of measure for the reading. Units on guaranteed buy back will be included if the GBB maximum metric (e.g. DISTKMS, DISTMLS) minus the last recorded metric value is less than or equal to this number, or if their last recorded metric value is greater than the GBB maximum metric.

   Daysidentifies the maximum number of days within guaranteed buy back for a unit to be included in the pending disposal list. The maximum number you can enter is 3652. Units on guaranteed buy back will be included if their GBB expiry date falls within a window of this number of days from the current date or if their GBB expiry date is in the past.

   Print Reportidentifies whether or not to print a hard-copy of the Pre-selected Equipment report. Note that only the units for the user ID that launched the report will be listed. If no items are selected, a report listing the selections requested on this screen will be printed.

3. Click Enter . The Confirm prompt appears.
4. Click Confirm. The pre-selections will be made.
