Record shunting readings

When a unit is moved for reasons other than a rental contract (i.e. it is shunted), its utilization information may be entered into Enrich, along with the branch to which the charges should be applied and pertinent fuel tax information. If prorate-plated, the mileage must still be reported from the trip mileage.

1. At the Asset Management main menu, select Customer | Billing | Record Shunting Readings. The Enter Shunting Readings screen appears.
2. Fill in the fields as required.

   Reading Dateis the date the shunting readings were taken. It defaults to the current date.

   Actual or Estimateidentifies whether the shunting readings are actual readings or estimates.

   Meter Changeflags whether or not the equipment unit's meter was changed since the last reading.

   Metric Typeis the type of measurement being entered. You can click on the Prompt button to select the metric type from a list.

   Facilityis the facility the units are being shunted from. It defaults to your facility. You can click on the Prompt button to select the facility from a list.

3. Click Enter . The Record Shunting Readings change screen appears.
4. Click Add . The Record Shunting Readings add screen appears.
5. Fill in the fields as required for each unit for which you have shunting readings.

   Unit Numberis the equipment unit that was shunted. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the unit from a list.

   Reading Date Tois the date the reading was taken at the To location.

   From Facilityis the location the equipment unit was shunted from. It defaults to the facility from the previous screen. You can click in the field and select Prompt to select the facility from a list.

   To Facility is the location the unit was shunted to. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the facility from a list.

   Fromis the metric reading on the unit at the From facility.

   Tois the metric reading on the unit at the To facility.

   UOMis the unit of measure the readings were taken in. It defaults to the UOM for the metric type. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the unit of measure from a list.

   Metric is the type of measurement that was taken. It defaults to the metric type entered on the previous screen. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the metric from a list.

   A/Eflags whether the shunting reading is an actual reading or an estimate. It defaults to the value entered on the previous screen. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the flag from a list.

   Meter Changeflags whether or not the equipment unit's meter was changed on this reading. It defaults to the value entered on the previous screen. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the flag from a list.

6. Click Enter to save the shunting readings.
