Accruals

If a unit is rented XX days before the last day of the month, the charge is accrued rather than invoiced on the month-end bill. Then, at the end of the next month, a bill is issued for one month plus XX days.

Similarly, when a unit is to be returned up to YY days after the month end, the month bill will be accrued so that the final invoice would have the month plus YY days.

The charge will be accrued if the billing date minus the assignment date is less than or equal to the value of rule 049, Accrual - #of Days Bef. For example, if the unit assignment date is May 28, the billing date is May 31, and rule 049 is set to 3, the charge will be accrued. In other words, if a unit went out just prior to a billing run, it won't be billed on the first billing run.

The charge will be accrued if the expected return date minus the billing date is less than or equal to the value of rule 050, Accrual - # of Days Aft. For example, if the expected return date is June 2, the billing date is May 31, and rule 050 is set to 3, the charge will be accrued. In other words, if a unit is expected back just after a billing run, the charge will be accrued and billed upon rental return.
