Service provider preferences in Roadcall table  

When determining a preferred provider, the system will:

1. Look up by Type and Unit number (the unit has a preferred provider for this type).
2. If not found, then look up by Type and Customer (the customer has a preferred provider for this type).
3. If not found, then look up by Type only (the company has a preferred provider for this type).

This option allows you to work with preferences for Roadcall service providers.

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Roadcall | Roadcall Service Provider Preferences.
   • The Service Provider Preferences change screen appears.
2. Click Add .
   • The Service Provider Preferences add screen appears.
3. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

   Cmp is a specific company that the preference applies to. Leave blank for all. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the company from a list.

   Number is a specific customer that the preference applies to. Leave blank for all. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the customer from a list.

   Provider is the service provider that is preferred. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the service provider from a list.

   Make is the make of vehicle that the service provider is preferred for. Leave blank for all. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the make from a list.

   Model is the vehicle model that the provider is preferred for. Leave blank for all. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the model from a list.

   Unit is a specific equipment unit that the provider is preferred for. Leave blank for all. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the unit from a list.

   Line Type is the type of work order line (as identified in the Roadcall line types) that the provider is preferred for, e.g. breakdowns. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the line type from a list.

4. Click Enter to save the preferences.
5. Click Exit to return to the menu.
