Operating centres  

An operating centre is defined as the place a vehicle is normally kept when not in use.

The O licence, when granted, authorizes the maximum number of vehicles and trailers that can be operated at each operating centre specified on the licence. If the assigned number of vehicles and trailers exceeds the maximum assigned, the field(s) will be highlighted in red. An information message will also be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, select Equipment | O Licence (UK) | Maintain Operating Centres.
    • The Maintain Operating Centres display screen appears.
  2. To work with transport managers for an operating centre:
    1. Right-click on the operating centre and select Assign Transport Managers.
      • The Op Centre Transport Managers display screen appears.
    2. Click Change .
      • The Edit Op Centre Transport Managers change screen appears.
    3. Click Add .
      • The Edit Op Centre Transport Managers add screen appears.
    4. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

      Transport Manager ID is a transport manager assigned to the operating centre. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the transport manager from a list.

      Effective Date is the date the transport manager was assigned to this operating centre.

      Expiry Date is the date the transport manager was removed from the operating centre. It is optional.

    5. Click Enter to save the transport managers.
    6. Click Exit to return to the Maintain Operating Centres display screen.
  3. To add operating centres:
    1. Click Add .
      • The Edit Operating Centre add key screen appears.
    2. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

      Traffic Area Code identifies the traffic area in which the operating centre is located. You can click on the Prompt button to select the traffic area from a list.

      Operating Centre Code is a unique code identifying the specific operating centre.

    3. Click Enter .
      • The Edit Operating Centre add screen appears.
    4. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

      Status is the current condition of the operating centre. You can click on the Prompt button to select the status from a list.

      Operating Centre Name is the name of the operating centre.

      Facility is the facility associated with the operating centre. You can click on the Prompt button to select the facility from a list.

      Address is the street address of the operating centre.

      City is the city in which the operating centre is located.

      Province/State is the province or state in which the operating centre is located. You can click on the Prompt button to select the province or state from a list.

      Postal Code/Zip Code is the postal or zip code for the operating centre.

      Telephone Number is the main telephone number of the operating centre.

      Mobile Number is the mobile number for the main contact at the operating centre.

      Fax Number is the fax number at the operating centre.

      E-mail is the email address for the main contact at the operating centre.

    5. Click Enter to save the operating centre.
