Product categories table  

This table is built around the same premise as the item category table and, when used in conjunction with that table, allows for a second level of grouping items within item categories for restriction of purchase agent authority.

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Material | Item Reference | Product Categories.
   • The Display Product Categories screen appears.
2. Click Change .
   • The Edit Product Categories change screen appears.
3. Click Add .
   • The Edit Product Categories add screen appears.
4. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

   Product Category is a 6-character code identifying a grouping of items in inventory that have a common usage.

   Description is a brief description of the product category.

5. Click Enter to save the categories.
6. Click Exit twice to return to the menu.
