Standard defects table  

Most problems or defects found on equipment units are fairly common -- flat tire, battery not charging, etc. To save time, these standard problems can be defined here and selected when completing a defect report.

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Maintenance | Defects | Standard Defects.
   • The Standard Defects display screen appears.
2. Click Change .
   • The Maintain Standard Defects change screen appears.
3. Click Add .
   • The Maintain Standard Defects add screen appears.
4. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

   Defect Code is a 6-character code identifying a type of problem that a unit or piece of equipment might have, e.g. TIRE02 for worn tire, STALL for stalling.

   Defect Description is a brief description of the defect.

   Facility is the facility that handles repairs for the defect. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the facility from a list.

   Department is the shop or department that handles repairs for the defect. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the shop from a list.

5. Click Enter to save the defects.
6. Click Exit twice to return to the menu.
