Comment types table  

  1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Maintenance | Comment Types.
    • The Edit Comment Type change screen appears.
  2. Click Add .
    • The Edit Comment Type add screen appears.
  3. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Comment Type is a code identifying a type of comment.

    Description is a brief description of the comment type.

    Show On External Doc flags whether or not the comment type should be printed on external documents. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the flag from a list.

    Use As Default identifies whether this is the default comment type for a particular function. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the function from a list. Valid values are:

    • blank - None
    • 01 - Order Approval/Rejection
    • 02 - Proposal Entry
    • 03 - Equipment Order Entry
    • 04 - WO Instructions
    • 05 - WO Estimates
    • 06 - Work Roster
    • 07 - Defects
    • 08 - WO General
    • 09 - Warranty General
    • 10 - Roadcall
    • 11 - Work Roster Lines
    • 12 - Damage to Rental Unit
    • 13 - Contract Discounts
    • 14 - Out of Service
    • 15 - Accident
    • 16 - Customer Contact
    • 17 - Vendor Contact
    • 18 - Paperwork
    • 19 - Fault
    • 20 - Info Request
    • 21 - Estimated Costs
    • 22 - Parts
    • 23 - Paperwork Rejection
    • 24 - General
    • 25 - Authorization Rejections
    • 26 - Customer
    •  

    NOTE: Comment types 15-25 are for custom use in Emconex.

  4. Click Enter to save the comment types.
  5. Click Exit to return to the menu.
