Time zones can be identified for companies that have offices spread across multiple time zones. They are identified as relative to a standard zone, usually the one in which the computer is located. This allows the system to stamp transactions (e.g. work orders, etc.) with the actual time based on a facility's location rather than on the computer location.
Time Zone is a code identifying a particular time zone.
Description is the name of the time zone.
Offset Hours is the number of hours difference between this zone and the selected standard zone (where the computer is located), to 1 decimal. This can be either positive or negative. This can be left blank for the standard zone.
Daylight Savings identifies whether or not the time zone observes daylight savings time.
