Provinces/states table  

If products will be purchased from, or services sold to, other provinces or states, those provinces and states must be set up. At the very least, your province or state of origin must be identified.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Location | Geographic | Provinces/States.
    • The Display Province/State screen appears.
  2. Click Change .
    • The Edit Province/State change screen appears.
  3. Click Add .
    • The Edit Province/State add screen appears.
  4. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Code is the internationally recognized 2-character code identifying a particular province or state.

    Description is the name of the province or state.

    Country is the country in which the state or province is located. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the country from a list.

    Actual Prov/State is used to determine if a unit is plated in a particular state, in cases where facilities are pointing to states like O1 instead of OH for Ohio. This is used in conjunction with tax exemptions by VMRS/equipment. It is optional. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the actual province or state from a list.

  5. Click Enter to save the new provinces and states.
  6. Click Exit to return to the menu.
