Warehouse search order table  

The warehouse search order applies when parts are added to a work order. When the business parameter is set to automatically allocate warehouse, these search orders are used to determine the warehouse for the part. The first warehouse found that contains the entered part number is used. When the business parameter is set to not automatically allocate warehouse, then the "current" warehouse is used.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, select Material | Item Administration | Warehouse Search Order.
    • The Edit Warehouse Search Order change screen appears.
  2. Click Add .
    • The Edit Warehouse Search Order add screen appears.
  3. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Department is a specific shop or department to which the search order applies. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the department from a list.

    Facility is the facility to which the search order applies. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the facility from a list.

    Sequence is a sequential number identifying the order in which to use the warehouse when more than one matches.

    User ID is the user ID of a specific person for whom the search order applies. It is optional. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the user from a list.

    Warehouse is the warehouse to use for parts. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the warehouse from a list.

  4. Click Enter to save the search order information.
  5. Click Exit to return to the menu.
