Facility business parameters  

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Location | Facility | Facilities.
   • The Display Facility screen appears.
2. Right-click on the facility and select Facility BPs.
   • The General Facility Business Parameters display screen appears.
3. Click Change .
   • The General Facility Business Parameters change screen appears.
4. Fill in or change the fieldsfields as required.

   Retail Facility flags whether or not the facility can make retail sales.

   Default Cost Code for WO's is the default cost code to use for work orders for this facility. You can click on the Prompt button to select the cost code from a list. When defaulting the cost code on a work order, the system will first check for an override at the repair facility. If none is found, it will use the system level cost code as usual.

   This parameter will affect regular work orders, creation of a sublet work order from the work order action list, placing a defect onto a work order, and placing an estimate onto a work order.

   Note that when adding to an existing work order, the new lines will use the cost code that existed on the work order header, not any new facility override that may have been set up after the work order was created.

   Note that there is a Maintenance business parameter called Feature Cost Code. If this has a value and you are working with a unit that has that feature code, the cost code will be coming from there and not the facility.

   Rebuild Work Planner for Facility - the scheduled job for PMs will call the work planner rebuild when the work planner is in use (based on the Maintenance business parameter). The PM portion of the planner is always rebuilt, but the work roster entries are only rebuilt when requested. This facility level business parameter allows that to happen. You can set individual facilities to be rebuilt. The scheduled job will look through all facilities for that parameter being set to Yes. The Work Planner will be cleared of all work roster entries for those selected facilities and will be rebuilt based on the actual work roster. Then the facility business parameter is automatically flipped back to No.

   Generally, there should be no need to rebuild the work planner for roster entries, but just in case the planner and actual roster get out of sync, this allows for a rebuild. When this log is initially implemented, the work planner rebuild will be called with a flag set to rebuild all facilities in order to do the initial load.

   Default Service Unit Number is only used if the third-party tax interface is in use.

   Barcode Override for API BCM identifies an optional facility-level override for the barcode API BCM (multiple) print program.

   Barcode Override for API BCP identifies an optional facility-level override for the barcode API BCP (multiple/PO) print program.

   Barcode Override for API BCS identifies an optional facility-level override for the barcode API BCS print program.

5. Click Enter to save any changes.
6. Click Exit twice to return to the Display Facility screen.
