Add a facility  

  1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Location | Facility | Facilities.
    • The Display Facility screen appears.
  2. Click Change .
    • The Edit Facility change screen appears.
  3. Click Add .
    • The Edit Facility add screen appears.
  4. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Facility is a code identifying a specific conceptual entity or location that performs maintenance functions and/or stores equipment units.

    Description is the name of the facility.

    Company is the subsidiary or related company that the facility belongs to. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the company from a list.

    Time Zone identifies which time zone the facility is located in. This allows the system to stamp transactions (e.g. work orders, purchase orders, etc.) with the actual time based on facility location rather than computer location if they are in different time zones. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the time zone from a list.

    Central Invoicing flags whether or not centralized invoicing is being used for the facility. Once defined, this flag cannot be changed if there are ANY open purchase orders in the system, including sublets, regular inventory/miscellaneous POs, and equipment POs. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the flag from a list.

  5. Click Enter to save the new facilities.
  6. Click Change to return to the Edit Facility change screen.
