Permit types table  

Various kinds of licenses may be required for different units, e.g. automobile license, truck license, trailer license.

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Equipment | Permit Types.
   • The Permit Types change screen appears.
2. Click Add .
   • The Permit Types add screen appears.
3. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

   Permit Type is a 3-character code identifying a specific type of permit or license.

   Description is a brief description of the permit type.

   Program Code identifies the PM program used for MOT (Ministry of Transport) inspections. It is optional. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the program from a list.

   Contract Section is a specific contract section that applies to this type of permit. It is optional. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the section from a list.

   Charge Code is a specific charge code associated with the permit type to control the accounting. This will allow the accounting of the prepaid, amortization, and disposal to follow accounting at the charge code level rather than having all permits follow the accounting at the pool/facility/financier level. It is optional. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the permit type from a list.

4. Click Enter to save the permit types.
5. Click Exit to return to the menu.
