GL accounts table  

Each general ledger account has a name and is a specific combination of existing company, major, and minor accounts. These are usually identifies and set up in conjunction with your accounting department. Expenses and income will be charged to specific GL accounts.

If Enrich Financials is installed, only a display version of this screen will be accessible here.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Accounting | Charge of Accounts | General Ledger Accounts.
    • The Display G/L Account Structure screen appears.
  2. Click Change .
    • The Edit G/L Account Structure change screen appears.
  3. Click Add .
    • The Edit G/L Account Structure add screen appears.
  4. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Company is the company or sub-company that work can be charged to. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the company from a list.

    Major is the functional area and product line against which labor and material costs or income might be charged. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the major from a list.

    Minor identifies the natural account against which labor and materials costs or income might be charged. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the minor from a list.

    Description is the name of the specific general ledger combination of company, major, and minor accounts.

  5. Click Enter to save the accounts.
  6. Click Exit to return to the menu.
