Item substitute parts  

When an item is not available or is on back order with the supplier, you may be able to substitute other items for it. The substitute items must already exist in the item master, and must be identified as a substitute for the part.

1. At the EMMS main menu, click on the Inventory Items button.
   • The Inventory for Warehouse display screen appears.
2. Right-click on the item you wish to define substitutes for and select Action List.
   • The Item Actions screen appears.
3. Click Substitute Items.
   • The Substitute Items display screen appears.
4. Click Change .
   • The Substitute Items change screen appears.
5. Click Add .
   • The Substitute Items add screen appears.
6. Type in or select each Substitute Item that can be used in place of the specified item.
7. Click Enter to save the substitutes.
8. Click Exit four times to return to the menu.
