Item cost overrides  

You can override the calculated average cost for a part at a particular warehouse. Cost overrides have an effective and an expiry date, allowing you to set up the overrides for specific, limited periods.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, click on the Inventory Items button.
    • The Inventory for Warehouse display screen appears.
  2. Right-click on the item and select Action List.
    • The Item Actions screen appears.
  3. Click Stocking Information.
    • The Warehouse/Item Information display screen appears.
  4. Right-click on the warehouse where the price should be overridden and select Cost Overrides.
    • The Item Cost Overrides change screen appears.
  5. Click Add .
    • The Item Cost Overrides add screen appears.
  6. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Effective Date is the date the cost override goes into effect. This can be a future date.

    Expiry Date is the date the cost override will end and average costing will be re-implemented by the system.

    Cost Override is the price per unit to be assigned to the item in the specified warehouse in place of the calculated average price per unit.

  7. Click Enter to save the cost overrides.
  8. Click Exit four times to return to the menu.
