Item component locations  

An item can have multiple possible locations on a unit which you might want to track. For instance, you may want to track the time a tire is in the left front position versus the time it is in the right rear position.

1. At the EMMS main menu, click on the Inventory Items button.
   • The Inventory for Warehouse display screen appears.
2. Right-click on the item and select Action List.
   • The Item Actions screen appears.
3. Click Component Locations.
   • The Item Component Locations display screen appears.
4. Click Change .
   • The Item Component Locations change screen appears.
5. Click Add .
   • The Item Component Locations add screen appears.
6. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

   Location Code is a six-character code that identifies a location on equipment units where the part could be installed; e.g. LF for left front, RRI for right rear inner. The codes should be unique within the part, but the same codes can be used for different parts.

   Location Description is a brief description of the location.

7. Click Enter to save the locations.
8. Click Exit four times to return to the menu.
