Change item
-
At the EMMS main menu, click the Inventory Items button.
-
The Inventory for Warehouse display screen appears.
-
Right-click on the item and select Change Item.
-
The Item Master Information change screen appears.
-
Change any fields as required, with the following restrictions:
-
Once entered, the Core Part # cannot be changed.
-
If you enter a part number for the core that doesn't currently exist, an item master record is created for it that is linked to the parent.
-
If the parent doesn't have a default vendor, you will get a message that it should. When you add the default vendor, you will be taken to the Warehouse/Item Information screen for the newly added core part. If you exit the screen without adding a warehouse for the core part, you will get the message "Warning: Core Part has no default warehouse assigned." If you ignore the warning and continue, the core will get added to the parent default warehouse when placed on a work order.
-
You will not be able to switch Expense Item from Yes to No or vice versa when there is a quantity anywhere on the part.
-
If changing Expense Item from Yes to No, all warehouses will be switched to the Replenishment Method of the warehouse that is showing on the item master.
-
If changing Expense Item from No to Yes, all warehouses will be switched to Replenishment Method P (expense).
-
The Replenishment Method can be changed from non-stocked to stocked (M or E), but only when there are no unissued work order part lines for the part at the warehouse.
-
The Replenishment Method can be changed from stocked (M or E) to non-stocked, but only when there are no open purchase orders for the part at the warehouse, nor any open work orders. In addition, there must be no stock on hand at the warehouse. The average cost and other stocking information will be reset to blank or zero, with zero minimum allowed = Yes.
-
Changes to the warehouse Row/Shelf/Bin are implemented for all associated serial numbers.
-
If a value exists in the Warranty field, it will be display only. If multiple warranties exist for the part, a +++ will appear to the right of the warranty code.
-
Click Enter
to save the changes.
