Add kit  

Kits are groupings of items that are frequently used together. Ordering a kit on a work order or purchase order reduces data entry requirements: one item, the kit, must be keyed in to obtain every component of that kit.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, select Material | Item Administration | Kits.
    • The Work With Kits display screen appears.
  2. Click Add .
    • The Maintain Kits enter screen appears.
  3. Type in a unique Kit Number for the new kit.
  4. Click Add .
    • The Maintain Kit Header Information change screen appears.
  5. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Description is a brief description of the kit.

    Facility is the facility that uses the kit. You can click on the Prompt button to select the facility from a list.

    Department is the department or shop that uses the kit. You can click on the Prompt button to select the department from a list.

  6. Click Enter .
    • The Maintain a Kit add screen appears.
  7. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Component Item is a stocked item that is included in the kit. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the component from a list. Non-stocked and miscellaneous parts cannot be added to a kit.

    Qty Required identifies how many of the part are required to make up one kit.

  8. Click Enter to save the kit.
