All equipment units must be defined individually to the system. However, if the Asset Management module is installed, units should NOT be added in EMMS.
Assigned To is the facility the unit is assigned to. It is optional. When changed on the Edit Equipment change screen, the work roster is updated. You can click on the Prompt button to select the facility from a list.
Checksum Digit only appears if the business parameter is selected. This is company-specific.
Customer is the customer the unit is assigned to. You can click on the Prompt button to select the customer from a list.
Date in Service is the date the unit was placed in active service in the fleet. A value is required. If this is a future date, the current job date is used for pool and facility assignment.
Description is a 25-character description of the unit.
Equipment Pool is the major grouping or pool of equipment the unit belongs to. This is only required if you have the Asset Management module. You can click on the Prompt button to select the pool from a list.
Equipment Type is the generic equipment type the unit belongs to. If left blank, Enrich will fill it in based on the group selection. You can click on the Prompt button to select the equipment type from a list.
Estimated Life is the number of months the unit is expected to last in service. It is optional.
Gross Unit Weight is the rated weight of the unit when loaded to maximum capacity. It is optional.
Group ID is the equipment group the unit belongs to. A value is required. You can click on the Prompt button to select the group from a list.
Mfg Code is the manufacturer of the unit. If left blank, Enrich will fill it in based on the group selected. You can click on the Prompt button to select the manufacturer from a list.
Model Code is the equipment model. If left blank, Enrich will fill it in based on the group selection. You can click on the Prompt button to select the model from a list.
Ownership identifies whether the unit is fully owned, leased, rented, inter-line, or customer-owned. You can click on the Prompt button to select the ownership from a list.
Purchase Date is the date the unit was bought from the vendor. A value is required.
Purchase Price is the amount that was paid to buy the unit from the vendor. It is optional.
Purchased flags whether the unit was purchased new or used.
Serial Number is the serial number stamped on the unit by the manufacturer. A value is required.
Status identifies the current status of the unit. Note that the unit status cannot be set to sold on customer-owned units; you can only void the unit. You can click on the Prompt button to select the status from a list. Valid values are:
Tare Weight is the weight of the unit when empty. It is optional.
UOM is the unit of measure used for the weights. You can click on the Prompt button to select the unit of measure from a list.
Year is the unit's 4-digit year of manufacture. If left blank, Enrich will fill it in based on the group selection.
