Transaction locks  

Locks are placed on various types of transactions (purchase orders, work orders, scheduled maintenance) when they are accessed by a user to prevent other users from changing the item at the same time. Normally, the system will clear a lock automatically when the user exits the program properly. Occasionally, however, a lock may not be cleared automatically.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Utilities | Transaction Locks.
    • The Work With Transaction Locks display screen appears.
  2. To remove all invalid locks, click Remove Invalid Locks .
    • Note that this will not remove the work order lock if someone is still in the work order somewhere. However, the option to remove a specific lock will remove the lock.
  3. To remove a specific lock, right-click on the lock and select Delete.
  4. To refresh the screen listing, click Refresh .
