Auto-number control  

Numerous items within Enrich are automatically numbered, e.g. work orders, purchase orders, etc. You can add or delete items from automatic numbering, identify allowable ranges of numbers, and view the next number that will be assigned.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | System | Auto Number Control.
    • The Auto-Numbering Control change screen appears.
  2. Click Add .
    • The Auto-Numbering Control add screen appears.
  3. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

    Header Type identifies the type of transaction that will have automatic numbering. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the transaction type from a list.

    Deleted Header Usage flags how deleted transactions of the specified type will be handled: as a hard deleted, logged, or re-used. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the usage from a list.

  4. Click Enter to save the information.
  5. Click Change to return to the Auto-Numbering Control change screen.
  6. To work with authorized ranges for a transaction type:
    1. Right-click on the header type and select Authorized Ranges.
      • The Authorized Number Ranges change screen appears.
    2. Click Add .
      • The Authorized Number Ranges add screen appears.
    3. Fill in the fieldsfields as required.

      Starting Number is the lowest number allowed in the range. Note that multiple non-contiguous ranges may be defined for a transaction type.

      Ending Number is the highest number allowed in the range.

    4. Click Enter to save the authorized ranges.
    5. Click Exit to return to the Auto-Numbering Control change screen.
  7. Click Exit to return to the menu.
