For ease of use, options, function keys, and methods of moving around within lists are the same from one screen to another.

The Screen

Icons are displayed at the top of the screen in four groupings. From right to left, they are:

• The first two icons are for Enter (to save changes) and Exit .
• The next batch of icons (left middle grouping) are for options that are performed against a single item in the list; they also appear under the Options menu and when right-clicking on a line.
• The third batch of icons (right middle grouping) are for functions that are performed against all items in the list; they also appear under the Functions menu.
• The last two icons are for accessing system messages and limited help ; the same help can also be accessed by pressing F1.

Buttons may also appear on the screen just below the icon bar. They are usually used to access different view of the data.

On some screens, icons will be duplicated in the middle two groupings because a function can be performed against a single item and/or against the entire list. When describing these functions in this help system, we will specify whether you should be clicking the icon in the left or right grouping.

Right-click Menus

You can right-click on a list line on a screen to bring up a menu of options. The options that appear will vary from one screen to another.

Positioning

The input fields at the top of the screen (i.e. above the list area) are used to position or limit the list to a particular item. Type in part or all of the value(s) you are looking for, then click Enter .

Most numeric and date fields require the full value; alphabetic fields can often be positioned by typing in the first few characters.

You can also press the Page Up and Page Down keys on your keyboard, or click on the Up and Down arrows on the right-hand scroll bar to move around the list.

Exit a Screen

To return to the previous screen, click Exit . Note that any changes or additions that were made on a screen but not saved by clicking Enter will be lost.

Line Options

Line options are displayed in the left middle set of icons and on the Options menu at the top of the screen, and when right-clicking on a line. These options are functions that can be performed individually against each/any item on the list without affecting the other items on the list.

To perform one of the options on an item:

1. Click on the item to highlight it.
2. Click on the icon on the left side of the screen.

OR

1. Click on the item to highlight it.
2. Click on the Options menu at the top of the screen.
3. Click on the option in the drop-down menu.

OR

1. Right-click on the item to highlight it.
2. Select the option from the menu that appears.
