Start time on a work order

Note that if the Allow Start Time on WO Header ETK business parameter is set to No, this function will not be allowed.

1. At the EMMS main menu, click the Work Orders button. The Work Orders display screen appears.
2. Right-click on the work order and click Start. If you are currently working on another work order or work order line, one of 2 screens will appear:
   • The Assign Work Order Line change screen appears.
   • • You will have to distribute the total work order time to the appropriate work order lines.
     1. Type in or select the Task Status and enter the Hours Worked on each work order line.
     2. Click Enter . The Confirm prompt appears.
     3. Click Confirm. The Enter Comments change screen may appear. If so, enter any comments required.
   • The Select Task Status for Previous Job screen appears.
   • • Select the appropriate status for the task.

The system will start recording time worked on the work order by the person signed on to the system.

Note: The system will adjust the seconds so that the elapsed time is an even multiple of 36 seconds (.01 of an hour). When starting the new ETK event, the stop time on the previous event is adjusted so that it is an even .01 of an hour; and subsequently, the start time on the new event uses the same adjusted time.
