Create a memo work order
A memo work order can be created to record repair history without using
actual labor hours or part issues from inventory. Instead, the costs may
be directly entered onto the work order. The memo work order lines are
included in the unit's repair history just the same as regular work orders.
The memo work order has certain restrictions such as: it cannot be used
to create a warranty claim, nor can it be used to create a customer invoice.
- At the EMMS main menu, click the Work
Orders button. The Work
Order display screen appears.
- Click Add
.
The Work Order Type to Create
screen appears.
- Click Regular WO's.
- Click Enter
. The Create Work
Order enter screen appears.
- Fill in the fields as required.
- Click Enter
.
- If user-defined fields exist, the Additional
Information Entry screen appears. Type in the required
information and click Enter
to save it, then click Exit
.
- The Memo Work Order
change screen appears.
- Fill in the fields as required.
- If available, fill in the estimated hours, actual hours, labor
cost, parts cost, other cost, labor tax, parts tax, and other task
for each activity.
- Click Enter
to save the work order.
