Close a work order line
- At the EMMS main menu, click the Work
Orders button. The Work
Orders display screen appears.
- Right-click on the work order and select Change.
The Edit Work Order
change screen appears.
- Right-click on the line and select Close.
- The message "Work order 99, line 9, has been closed"
appears, and the status of the line (W field) changes to C.
- If the line is closed as a regular non-sublet line, it will
calculate shop supplies. If it is later re-opened and turned into
a sublet, the shop supplies amount is removed from the cost field
on the work order line.
- If no actual labor hours were entered for the activity, the
system assumes the estimated hours were worked. The estimated
hours become the actual hours.
- If the activity was sublet, the purchase order must be closed
before the line can be closed.
- The VMRS/task can be changed after the line is closed if the
line is sublet.
- If the line is a PM and the PM business parameter PM Completion
Date to Use is set to User Supplied Date, the PM
Completion Date pop-up will appear; change the date
as required, then click Enter
. The line will be closed.
You can close a billable work order line for a sublet even when the
sublet is still "costs pending", i.e. no invoice yet.
