Change a work order detail
- At the EMMS main menu, click the Work
Orders button. The Work
Orders display screen appears.
- Right-click on the work order and select Change.
- If comments exist for the equipment unit, the Display
Comments screen appears. Click Exit
.
- If work roster entries exist for the unit, the Add
to Work Order display screen appears. To place a roster
entry on the current work order, right-click on the entry and
select Place on WO.
Otherwise, click Exit
.
- The system will get rid of any sublets not in use by the work
order, ensuring, of course, that they don't actually have any
lines and are in open status.
- Depending on the setting of the Show OOS window in Work Order
Edits business parameter and the type of work order, the Equipment In/Out of Service
window may appear, allowing you to place the unit out of service.
Choose to place the unit out of service or leave it in service,
then Confirm.
- The Edit Work Order
change screen appears.
- If outstanding defects or work roster entries exist for the
unit, a message indicating that will appear at the bottom of the
screen.
- If the unit is under warranty, a message "Unit is currently
under warranty XYZ" will appear in the middle of the screen.
- If a component being worked on is under warranty, the line
Description will start with W*.
- Make any changes as required.
- Click Enter
to save the changes.
