System codes table

The system is an equipment component system, brakes for example. The assembly is a grouping of components within a system, e.g. front brakes and drums. The part is the individual part that goes into an assembly,e.g. brake shoe. So the systems have to be set up first, then the assemblies, and then the parts.

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Maintenance | VMRS Codes | System/Assembly/Part. The Maintain System Codes change screen appears.
2. Click Add . The Maintain System Codes add screen appears.
3. Fill in the fields as required.

   Systemis a 2-digit code used to identify an equipment component system, e.g. 13 for brakes.

   Descriptionis a brief description of the equipment system.

   Cost Reporting Codeis the code identifying the major component system on equipment units to which work on the equipment system will be costed. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the cost code from a list.

4. Click Enter to save the systems.
5. Click Change to return to the Maintain System Codes change screen.
