Inventory master upload

This upload uses the format file FFAECPP. The format file and Excel spreadsheet can be found on our secure website at https://secure.richer.ca/index.php/support/upload-files.html; you will have to sign in with your online help desk ID.

Note that a non-stocked part at the warehouse level can be changed to a stocked part if there are no outstanding purchase orders for the part, in which case an error message containing the PO number that is preventing the upload of that part will be issued.

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Interfaces | Secured Uploads | Inventory Master. The Enter Password screen appears.
2. Type in the password and click Enter . The Inventory Upload enter screen appears.
3. Change any field values as required.

   Action if Stock Bin Location Not Foundidentifies what should be done if the stock bin location on the spreadsheet is not found in Enrich. You can click on the Prompt button to select the action from a list. Options are:
        1 - Create Stock Bin Location
        2 - Do Not Create Item
        3 - Create Item Without Location

   Action if VMRS Not Foundidentifies what should be done if the VMRS on the spreadsheet is not found in Enrich. You can click on the Prompt button to select the action from a list. Options are:
        1 - Do Not Create Item
        2 - Create Item Without VMRS

   Cycle Count Methodis the cycle count method to use if one is not found on the spreadsheet. It is optional. You can click on the Prompt button to select the method from a list.

   Default 2nd Description From VMRS if Blankidentifies whether the second description should default from the VMRS if it is not found on the spreadsheet.

   Edit Onlyidentifies whether the system should just check for errors, or check for errors and perform the upload.

   Exit on Erroridentifies whether or not the upload should end if an error is found.

   Item Categoryis the item category to use if one is not found on the spreadsheet. It is optional. You can click on the Prompt button to select the category from a list.

   Product Categoryis the product category to use if one is not found on the spreadsheet. It is optional. You can click on the Prompt button to select the category from a list.

   PST Exemptis the PST exempt flag to use if one is not found on the spreadsheet. It is optional. You can click on the Prompt button to select the flag from a list.

   Purchase UOMis the purchase unit of measure to use if one is not found on the spreadsheet. It is optional. You can click on the Prompt button to select the unit of measure from a list.

   Report Errorsidentifies whether the upload report should show on records with errors, or all records.

   Stocking UOMis the stocking unit of measure to use if one is not found on the spreadsheet. It is optional. You can click on the Prompt button to select the unit of measure from a list.

   Update Item Details if Foundidentifies whether or not item details should be updated if the item already exists in the item master.

   Warehouseis the warehouse to use if one is not found on the spreadsheet. It is optional. You can click on the Prompt button to select the warehouse from a list.

4. Click Enter . The upload will be performed.

Note: The system will ensure that you are not trying to add a core to the part that is the same as the upload part itself (i.e. parent X has core X). This validation also applies to stock part replaced (which is only relevant when the inventory upload is used from the Parts & Pricing upload); the system won't allow the stocked part being replaced to be the same as the upload part (i.e. replace part X with part X).

If you are attaching a core, the system will also ensure that there are no open work orders or POs that contain the primary part.
