Create a toll upload batch

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Interfaces | Toll Upload Control. The Toll Upload Control screen appears.
2. Click Add . The Create Toll Upload Batch screen appears.
3. If required, change the Upload Method.
4. Click Enter . The system will:
   • If using the folder method, copy a file from the IFS folder as defined in the business parameters. Note that this file must have the name tollupload.csv. If a file with that name is not found in the IFS, then a batch is created, but the number of records will be zero.
   • Create a batch of all the record copies and validate them. The validations are:
   • • If the unit number is blank on the download table, the program will look to the License Plate to find the unit. It will:
     • get the plate number (Toll Violation Plate) from the download table.

     • read the D-Unit Permit table by plateNumber and type ‘LIC’ where the toll date is between the from/to on the permit.

     • if not found, then leave the unitNumber as blank.

     • if found, update the unit number on the toll table with the unit number on the permit.

     • a customer is associated with the unit number as of the toll date/time
     • the toll record is not a duplicate of any other previous toll record. That check is by unit/toll date/toll time/toll ID.
   • If using the folder method, rename the file in the IFS to be tollupload.csvYYYY-MM-DDHH.MM.SS
