Customer class miscellaneous charges

Miscellaneous charges such as environmental fees can be added to any price book. They are attached to the price book itself, not to a particular cost type.

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Customer | Customer Classes. The Edit Customer Classes change screen appears.
2. Right-click on the customer class and select Change Price Book. The Edit Customer Class Price Book change screen appears.
3. Right-click on the effective date of the price book and select Base Rate. The Edit Customer Class Base Rate change screen appears.
4. Click Miscellaneous Charges . The Customer Class Miscellaneous Charges change screen appears.
5. Click Add . The Customer Class Miscellaneous Charges add screen appears.
6. Fill in the fields as required.

   Billed Rateis the rate to be charged, to 2 decimal places.

   Charge Codeidentifies the type of charge. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the charge from a list.

   Descis a description of the charge. If left blank, it will be filled in based on the charge code selected.

   Discount Amountis a flat rate discount amount to be given, if applicable.

   Discount Percentis a discount percentage to be given, if applicable.

   Maximum Amountis a maximum amount to be charged, if applicable. This is applied prior to discounting.

   Minimum Amountis a minimum amount to be charged, if applicable. This is applied prior to discounting.

   Rate Typeidentifies the type of rate to be charged. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the rate type from a list. Valid values are:
        - fixed - a dollar amount regardless of the actual costs. Cannot have a min/max. Negative is allowed. A fixed amount only ever adds 1 invoice line; it is a fixed amount per work order, not per work order line. If there is a VMRS and/or task, at least one billable work order line has to exist for the fixed amount to be applied to the invoice.
        - $ per labor hour. Negative is allowed. Hours on billable work order lines will be summed and multiplied by this rate. If there is a VMRS and/or task, only billable work order lines that apply will be summed.
        - % of labor. Negative is not allowed. This percentage will be applied to the invoiced amount of labor lines, where VMRS/task matches, when applicable.
        - % of parts. Same as labor, only for the invoiced amount of parts.

   Taskis a specific task for which the charge will be applied. It is optional. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the task from a list.

   VMRSis a specific VMRS for which the charge will be applied. It is optional. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the VMRS from a list.

7. Click Enter to save the miscellaneous charges.
8. Click Exit to return to the Edit Customer Class Base Rate change screen.
