Item equivalence

Over time, items will change because the manufacturer stops making one part and replaces it with another, or the manufacturer goes out of business and a replacement item must be found. You may wish to keep track of the previously used items (equivalent items) and/or keep a list of equivalent items that could be used in the future if necessary.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, click on the Inventory Items button. The Inventory for Warehouse display screen appears.
  2. Right-click on the item for which you wish to set up equivalents and select Action List. The Item Actions screen appears.
  3. Click Item Equivalence. The Item Equivalence display screen appears.
  4. Click Change change.jpg. The Item Equivalence change screen appears.
  5. Click Add plus.jpg. The Item Equivalence add screen appears.
  6. Fill in the fields as required.
  7. Click Enter enter.jpg to save the equivalents.
  8. Click Exit exit.jpg four times to return to the menu.
