Detach a core from a parent

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Material | Item Administration | Work With Cores. The Work With Cores display screen appears.
2. Right-click on the core and select Detach from Parent. If multiple parents exist for the core, the Select Parent for Core screen appears.
3. Right-click on the parent to be detached and select Select. The Detach Core from Parent screen appears.
4. Click Enter . The system will check for open transactions.
   • If no open transactions exist, the parts will be detached.
   • If open transactions exist (PO is open, processed, has partial receipts, or is closed - fully received but not invoiced), a message will appear at the bottom of the screen and you will not be able to detach the parent until the transactions are closed.
   • 1. To find out what the open transactions are, click Open Transactions . The Open Transactions for Item display screen appears.
     2. To view details of a transaction, right-click on the transaction and select Display. The appropriate display screen appears.
