Post a warranty claim
Claims must be posted before collections can be entered. In order to
be posted, the claim's referencing work order must be approved, unless
the business parameter Allow Claim Post If WO Closed has been set to Yes,
in which case a claim can be posted when the associated work order or
work order line is in closed status.
- At the EMMS main menu, select Maintenance
| Warranties | Warranty Claims. The Warranty
Claims by Claim # screen appears.
- Right-click on the claim and select Post.
The claim's status will change to Posted and you will not be able
to change the claim amount.
- If any of warranty code, cost, and/or vendor are missing on
the claim, Enrich will take you directly to the Warranty
Claim change screen. This gives you the opportunity
to correct the data and continue with the post. If the data is
corrected, the post will proceed upon exiting the edit. If the
data is not corrected, a message will appear telling you that
the claim cannot be posted.
