Post a warranty claim

Claims must be posted before collections can be entered. In order to be posted, the claim's referencing work order must be approved, unless the business parameter Allow Claim Post If WO Closed has been set to Yes, in which case a claim can be posted when the associated work order or work order line is in closed status.

  1. At the EMMS main menu, select Maintenance | Warranties | Warranty Claims. The Warranty Claims by Claim # screen appears.
  2. Right-click on the claim and select Post. The claim's status will change to Posted and you will not be able to change the claim amount.
